My name is Patricia Leach, and I am the English Dept. Head at Hamilton High School. As a 1995 graduate of HHS, I attended Tarleton State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in May of 2000. I later continued my education as part of the PEEPs program at TSU and graduated with my Master of Arts Degree in 2011. This is my 21st year to teach English at HHS, and I currently serve as an adjunct professor with Central Texas College. My current course load includes English I, English I Honors, College Prep English IV, English 1301/1302 (Dual Credit Juniors), and English 2322/2323 (Dual Credit Seniors).
In addition to my teaching duties, I stay busy with various extracurriculars. I am celebrating my 14th year as Varsity Cheer Coach. I am the Student Council Advisor, coordinating various community service projects that are near & dear to me. I am also the huddle leader for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes & Students and coach cheerleaders each year at the FCA Victory Bowl in Waco. I currently coach the UIL Speech & Journalism teams each Spring. And, I also coordinate prom & graduation each year!
It's a busy life, but I wouldn't want it any other way! I strive to provide my students with opportunities to stay involved & to have an awesome high school experience just as I was offered by my teachers & coaches. I also make it my mission to help students that want to continue their education once they leave the halls of Hamilton High School.
